Proclaiming the Year of the Family
Pope Francis established the Year of the Family on March 19, 2021, the Solemnity of St. Joseph. This marks the fifth anniversary of the publication of his Apostolic Exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, which means "The joy of love" and explores the beauty and joy found in family life.
The Year of the Family will conclude on June 26, 2022, on the occasion of the tenth World Meeting of Families in Rome with the Holy Father. Pope Francis established the Year of the Family to help strengthen faith and live God’s joy more fruitfully in family life.

The Holy Father talks about the chapters of the Apostolic Exhortation, along with families who will give witness by sharing some aspects of their daily lives.

Proclamando el año de la familia
El Papa Francisco estableció el Año de la Familia el 19 de marzo de 2021, Solemnidad de San José. Esto marca el quinto aniversario de la publicación de su Exhortación Apostólica, Amoris Laetitia , que significa "La alegría del amor" y explora la belleza y la alegría que se encuentran en la vida familiar.
